New plants
I special ordered these Dictamnus albus aka. Gas Plants from a local garden center and I picked them up yesterday. Why am I excited about these? They are highly flammable! Check out this video I found on youtube.
Gas Grill Salad Garden
I salvaged this old Gas grill from a dumpster and ripped out its guts. I lined inside with landscape fabric and filled it with potting soil. Planted some leaf lettuce, parsley and a basil plant (also, salvaged from a dumpster). Now I have a "cut and come" salad garden complete with side tables to set my scissors and bowl on.
let me introduce myself
A little over a year ago I along with my wife Lisa and daughter Skyla (now 2) bought and moved in to a 1930's craftsman home on an almost half acre lot. It was the lot that convinced us to buy, You don't see many lots this big in Appleton, WI. Since moving in we have done a lot of work on the interior of the house and landscape. Adding a vegetable garden, a herb garden and several flower beds.
When not working around the house I work full time at a local garden center and Lisa is a stay at home mom.
